As a parent, you know that elementary school signifies new beginnings.

At Life Christian Academy, it’s our mission to shepherd hearts and sharpen minds for God’s glory. We nurture the wonder and excitement that a new year brings. As a private Christian school in Avon Park, Florida, we strive to create an atmosphere where little ones experience God’s truth in every part of their learning.

  • Parental involvement. Families stay connected in our community
    through
volunteering in school events, being guest readers in class, assisting in the library, participating in field trips, and more.

  • Personalized Learning

  • Every child is different, and so are their learning styles. We engage students by

providing hands-on activities in lessons, whether through a science project, small group discussion, or class presentations — elementary students thoroughly apply what they’ve learned.

BUILDING A STRONG SPIRITUAL, ACADEMIC, SOCIAL, AND EMOTIONAL FOUNDATION

The academic programs at LCA lead students to explore and discover the Lord’s creation and design across all disciplines, with a core education in mathematics, science, English, social studies, and Bible supported by leadership and service opportunities. Your child will develop strong academic, social, and spiritual foundations.

    Foundational Academic Subjects

Your child will learn fundamental subjects such as Bible, reading/phonics, math, science, and social studies. Every subject is taught with a blend of activities meant to target different modes of acquiring knowledge — through reading, using hands-on activities to learn number sense, working on a science project, and more.

    Enriching Specials and Events

During the afternoons, kindergarten students enjoy a variety of special area classes, including art, STEAM, music, PE, and library. Your child will have the opportunity to branch out and explore specific interests while learning the foundations of these special subjects. There are also exciting events for kindergartners, including the 100th Day Celebration, Mother’s Day Tea, guest readers, Grandparent’s Day, monthly themed centers, Nursery Rhyme Parade, and many others!

    Building Character Education

Daily Bible class, weekly chapel, and teachers who model Christ-centered values all cultivate our students’ spiritual and character growth.

    Prioritizing Safety

Whether your child is starting school for the first time or they’re taking the next step after preschool, you want topage1image41557312

make the most of this important chapter of their life.

As parents, safety is at the top of your mind. LCA is committed to the safety and preparedness of its students, staff and its visitors. We have security measures in place, which include locked doors and a secure check-in system for all visitors. Emotional safety is also a priority — teachers encourage a culture of respect, kindness, and caring for others.

NOTICE OF NONDISCRIMINATORY POLICY AS TO STUDENTS

The Life Christian Acadmemy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all of the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
